  Stay Motivated With a Group Exercise Class

How many workout routines have you started in your life? One? Two? Ten? And of those workouts, how many have you stuck with?


If you are like many people, the answer is “zero”. The truth is that it is so easy to start a new exercise routine, but not so easy to stick with it.


We start off strong with the best of intentions. We commit to a workout schedule, possibly investing in workout gear of gym memberships. The first few days or even several weeks, everything is going great.


One day we wake up and just feel too tired to do it again. Or we get busy and tell ourselves that we’ll workout tomorrow. Next thing you know, it’s been weeks or even months since we worked out.


While a group exercise can provide a lot of benefits, one of them is the potential of staying motivated. When we work out with others, we tend to push ourselves more. When we know that people are expecting us, we are much more likely to show up.


Additionally, we all have a competitive streak, and the last thing any of us want to admit to another person is that we’ve given up. Being the “weakest link” is a title that none of us want to bear.


Thanks to these facts and several others, a group exercise class, such as yoga or Pilates classes near me, are incredibly beneficial for most people.
